Upon arrival, take a look out of your room window and see who you can see, as you are never far away from a trainer’s yard when in Newmarket! It is unlikely that your morning will start with the sound of a cockerel  but you may hear the distinct sound of hooves as some of the town’s 3,000 racehorses make their way to the Gallops for morning exercise – only in Newmarket!

Getting to Newmarket is really easy, situated just off the A14 the road links are excellent. There are regular railway connections and a great bus service provides local and national services. Of course the town also has a network of horse walks and it is one of the few places where horses take priority on  the roads!
